or has less than 3 or greater than 63 characters in the Name.
However a maximum of 26 characters is recommended
as some applications, browsers and email programmes
do not accecpt greater than 26 characters.

the following documentation is required from the applicant,
before the registration can be accecpted and
processed by the IEDR naming authority.

Registered Business (by Person)	Copy of Registered Business Name (RBN) certificate and also proof of trading e.g. Letter from Solicitor, accountant or bank manager confirming current trading under the RBN
Registered Irish Trade Mark (by Irish Company)	(a) The company number for the Irish company (b) The Trade Mark certificate (c) A letter from an Irish firm of trademark or patent attorneys confirming ownership of the trade mark.
Registered EU Trade Mark (by Irish Company)	(a) The Irish company's company number (b) The trade mark certificate (c) A letter from an Irish firm of trademark or patent attorneys confirming ownership of the trade mark (d) A letter from the trade mark holder authorising the Irish company
Registered Trade Mark (by Person)	Copy of The Trade Mark Certificate
State Agency Name	Any reasonable documentation to substantiate the name, existence and status of the entity.
Persons Name	Copy of Irish passport, birth certificate or other reasonable documentation proving Irish citizenship. Personal names, other than public figures cannot register full names. Only the first letter of the first and last names (initials + two numeric characters) are permitted. eg; Domain for Joe Bloggs = jb01.ie
Public Figure	Documentation supporting application
School	Letter from School principal on School letterhead, Letter from Dept. of Education or Local authority document.
Publication	Hard copy of the publication.
Publication Name	Documentation as required substantiating the claim and a Hard copy of the publication.

against any loss, damage, liability, claim or expense resulting

7.2: No liability shall attach to University College Dublin or its
servants or agents in respect of any loss or damage whatsoever
suffered by the applicant or a service provider and arising from
any action or neglect on the part of University College Dublin
or its servants or agents in the exercise of the function of
the naming authority.
